Our Story

A corner worth keeping

We opened in June 2019 with one grinder, four tables and a stubborn idea: Bengaluru's filter coffee tradition and third-wave brewing aren't rivals — they're cousins. So we source peaberry from a fourth-generation estate in Chikmagalur, roast it a hundred metres from where you're sitting, and serve it both ways: in a brass dabara and on a V60.

The kitchen followed the same rule. Benne dosa batter became waffles. Mysore pak found its way onto french toast. Amma's curd rice got rolled into arancini. Some purists frowned; most of them are regulars now.

"I've had flat whites in Melbourne and kaapi in Kumbakonam. This is the only place that respects both. The mysore pak french toast should be illegal."

"Wrote most of my thesis at table 4. They never once hurried me, and the chai refills kept coming. This cafe raised me."

"Took my Chikmagalur-born grandmother here expecting complaints. She asked for the beans. They gave her a bag, free. We're regulars now."
